Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (Reese's Pieces Knock off)
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (Reese's Pieces Knock off).
You will need:
-Peanut Butter
-chocolate chips(any kind you wish)
-Rice Krispies cereal (or similar brand)
-cupcake cups
-cut the cupcake cups in half, or to your desired height. Or...leave them as is for a giant one!
-place them in cupcake pan (this is to make sure that they mold properly).
-melt chocolate chips over pot with boiling water in metal or glass bowl.
-Once melted, dollop (with spoon) into cupcake cup. Use a paintbrush to fill the cup. All you want is a layer on the inside of the cup, you DO NOT want to fill it.
-once all cups are filled, place pan in freezer to set.
-while in freezer, make the inside mix with peanut butter and smashed up rice krispies. (they turn out better if you smash the rice krispies.).
-This is the part where you can decided to add another ingredient. You could add oats, or even nuts, or go crazy and add something completely different!
-when chocolate is stiff, take out of freezer (I left mine in for 10 minutes, but it probably doesn't take that long).
Fill the cups with your peanut butter mix.
-when filled, pace back in the freezer. (this is not necessary, I just found it easier to put chocolate on the top if the peanut butter is a little stiff.)
-get your chocolate ready again for the top. Use the left overs from the shells, or add/re melt more chocolate.
-take out of freezer when stiff. (I took them out one by one so they did not melt on the counter while waiting to be topped.)
- Fill in a dollop of chocolate on the top, and use the paint brush again to fill it in. (Add sprinkles for kids!)
-Place in the fridge for eating!! Yum!
enjoy.
